In addition to my activities as a performer, I am an experienced and passionate cello teacher, having taught at St Peters' Lutheran Springfield, Westside Christian College, Good News Lutheran School, St Johns Anglican College and the Altona Gymnasium in Hamburg. I have also maintained a private studio since 2018, and currently teach at my home studio in Coorparoo (shown), as well as in Riverhills, subject to availability.

As a teacher, I am enthusiastic about nurturing every student according to their own needs, as I have discovered that everyone learns in very different ways. A solid technical and theoretical foundation are definite priorities for me, but I am always careful to keep them in their place as serving the freedom and beauty of the music. Most importantly, I believe playing the cello should always be fun and rewarding, and I strive to help every student experience this in their own way!

I am also experienced in preparing students for auditions and AMEB exams, and encourage students to undertake these when the time is right.
